Dynamine (Methylliberine)

Only three human RCTs have tested methylliberine. The only one measuring cognition with methylliberine alone (La Monica et al., 2023, n=25, 100mg/day) found better self-rated concentration, motivation, mood and energy, but a negligible effect on objective cognitive tests (Stroop, Trail Making B). A 4-week safety trial (VanDusseldorp et al., 2020, n=125, 100–150mg/day) found no clinically significant cardiovascular or blood changes; it did not test cognition. A third trial (Cintineo 2022) tested it only inside a caffeine + theacrine combination. Both methylliberine-specific trials were funded in whole or part by Compound Solutions, which sells Dynamine, and a La Monica co-author holds patents on methylliberine.

作用機序

Dynamine (methylliberine) is a purine alkaloid found in kucha tea leaves, structurally related to caffeine and theacrine. It is described as blocking adenosine receptors (like caffeine) and inhibiting phosphodiesterase. In a 4-week trial at 100–150mg/day it produced no clinically significant changes in heart rate, blood pressure or blood biomarkers. No study has measured tolerance.

実証された効果

  • Better self-rated energy, mood and motivation (one small RCT)
  • No clinically significant heart rate or blood pressure change over 4 weeks at 100–150mg

副作用と注意事項

  • Limited safety data: three human RCTs, both methylliberine-specific trials funded by the manufacturer
  • Objective cognition: no measurable effect on Stroop or Trail Making tests in the only trial that tested it
  • Mild GI discomfort possible
  • Possible interaction with caffeine (additive stimulation)
  • Not recommended during pregnancy (precautionary: no pregnancy data)

摂取方法

FormsCapsule. Dynamine is a trademarked ingredient from Compound Solutions. Not available as a standalone consumer product — found only in pre-formulated stacks like Thesis.

スタッキングの推奨

Dynamine (Methylliberine)と相性の良い成分とその理由。

A common pairing in pre-formulated stacks. In tactical personnel, 150mg caffeine + 100mg methylliberine + 50mg theacrine matched 300mg caffeine on vigilance reaction time with a smaller diastolic blood pressure rise (Cintineo 2022) — but that tests the combination, not Dynamine alone.

L-Theanine is commonly paired with stimulants for calmer focus, though in a controlled caffeine trial it did not significantly reduce jitteriness, and the combination with Dynamine has not been tested.

Dynamine provides acute adenosine blockade; Zynamite extends dopamine via COMT inhibition. Together found in Thesis blends for multi-pathway stimulation.

よくある質問

How is Dynamine different from caffeine?

It is a related purine alkaloid, but its evidence base is far thinner: three small human RCTs versus decades of caffeine research. In a 4-week trial at 100–150mg/day it caused no clinically significant heart rate or blood pressure change, and in the one cognition trial it improved self-rated energy and mood but not objective test performance. No trial has compared its onset, duration or sleep effects head-to-head with caffeine.

Does Dynamine build tolerance like caffeine?

Unknown. No study has measured tolerance to methylliberine; the 4-week trial measured safety markers, not whether effects fade. Claims of "minimal tolerance" are not supported by any published trial.

Can I buy Dynamine on its own?

Not easily. Dynamine (methylliberine) is a trademarked ingredient from Compound Solutions and is primarily available in pre-formulated stacks (e.g., Thesis nootropics). Standalone Dynamine capsules are rare on the consumer market.

Is it safe to combine Dynamine with caffeine?

Yes — this is a common combination in performance supplements. Since both block adenosine, the stimulant effects are additive. Keep total combined caffeine + Dynamine intake moderate and monitor for overstimulation (anxiety, restlessness). Start with low doses of each.
